This page will detail the private classes as well as those classes I teach at Janovic Plaza and New York University. The Janovic classes will be hands-on and held once a month. They provide an introduction to the basics of glazing and show how those glazes can be used in the creation of more advanced finishes. The New York University classes are Finishing Techniques is an intensive 2 day hands-on class covering the basics and beyond with an emphasis on how they are used in Interior Design. (It is a requirement in the Interior Design Certificate Program). Basic Stenciling for Interior Design Is a hands-on class that will take the student from picking the image & cutting the stencil to different ways of painting to achieve different looks. You can sign up online by going to www.scps.nyu.cpm or by calling 212.998.7171. I am hoping to provide direct links to their web pages with the possibility of signing up online. This page also will show examples of some of the finishes each student will be taught to produce and in a few cases a step by step breakdown which will also serve as a further introduction to my forthcoming book FAUX 101: An Introduction to the Art of Faux Finishing.
